Beautiful Day to Be in the Garden

It's a beautiful, crisp, sunny day in Seattle and perfect weather to get out in the garden. Weeding, spreading mulch, setting up my raised vegetable beds...I'm looking forward to it all. I'll consult my Linnea Garden Journal  for ideas and jot down a few notes to keep track of what I've planted and where--a perfect day!

Top Picks for 2010 Desk Calendars

There are a lot of desk calendars to choose from, but some of my favorites are those from Madison Park Greetings and Wooster & Prince.
Madison Park Greetings artists Brenda Walton, Carrie Gifford, and Misha Zadeh have produced beautiful desk calendars that come in slim CD cases which, when folded open, take up minimal space on a desk and make it easy to slip out the next month's artwork. Printed in the USA on recycled paper using soy-based inks and at $12.99 are a very nice choice! they made great little (and useful) gifts for my friends and family this year.

Wooster & Prince features a collection of its most beautiful patterns.

Top Picks for 2010 Wall Calendars

As I'm sipping a nice hot cup of Candy Cane Green Tea and bemoaning the fact that my stash is nearing its end and it's already gone from the shelves of Trader Joe's for the season I'm comforted by the view of my beautiful Linnea Design Wall calendar that brightens my kitchen wall. I have all 12 months lined up in a 4x3 display, and I love it. It cheers me every day!
